Job summary

The US Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Dietitian (Informatics) at the GS-11 level to plan, coordinate, and implement food service technology across Nutrition and Food Services.

You will oversee menu development, nutrient analyses, standardized recipes, training materials, and informatics systems, collaborating with clinical nutrition and leadership to enhance patient dining experiences and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship per VA policy.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) and registered with CDR.
• English language proficiency in accordance with 38 U.S.C. § 7403(f).
• Degrees earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated by ACEND and meet International Dietitian Education standards.
• May qualify under the Grandfathering Provision for current VHA employees in this occupation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement food service technology.
• Oversee menu development, nutrient analyses, standardized recipes and quality controls.
• Develop training and reference materials for NCC and staff.
• Evaluate data to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency.
• Collaborate with clinical nutrition, leadership and IT regarding informatics processes.
