Job summary

The US Department of Veterans Affairs in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Dietitian (Clinical) at the GS-7/9/11 development level to deliver evidence-based medical nutrition therapy. You will work autonomously within the Nutrition and Food Services to support Veterans with complex nutritional needs.

You will apply the Nutrition Care Process, collaborate with the care team, and use virtual care tools when appropriate to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must hold the RDN credential with CDR or have an approved temporary path.
• Bachelor's or higher degree; ACEND® accreditation requirements apply for eligibility to take the exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition care using the NCP for Veterans with complex needs.
• Coordinate nutrition care with physicians, caregivers, and the Veteran.
• Support quality and performance improvement activities in Nutrition and Food Services.
• Utilize virtual care technologies to improve access to care.
