Job summary

The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS), Central Office, located on the Jefferson Barracks VAMC campus in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Dietitian who will act as the technical nutrition expert for the VCS Food Operations Program nationwide.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years leading hospital food service operations, expertise in nutrition informatics, an ACEND-accredited bachelor’s in Dietetics (master’s preferred), and RD/RDN credentials with CDR registration; strong communication and MS Office skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from ACEND-accredited program (master's preferred).
• RDN or RD required; must be registered with CDR.
• 3+ years leading hospital food service operations in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with nutrition technology systems covering patient meal service and menu program management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical nutrition expert to management officials within the VCS Food Operations Program nationwide.
• Lead hospital food service operations and nutrition informatics initiatives across facilities.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve workflow, reporting, and patient meal programs.
