Qualifications

• Education requirement: high school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification preferred.
• Experience as a cook, ideally in healthcare or institutional settings.
• Ability to lift and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and cooking according to planned menus and dietary needs, including specialized diets.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control to ensure consistency.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation per health regulations.
• Adjust recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and resident preferences.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and proper storage of foods.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to plan and review menus.
• Keep records of temperatures, portions, and dietary modifications as required.
• Participate in ongoing training on food safety and best practices.
