Emerald Nursing & Rehab Brookside is seeking a part-time Cook to join our kitchen team in Lincoln, NE. You will prep and cook meals aligned with planned menus and resident dietary needs, while keeping the kitchen clean and safe in a clinical healthcare environment.

You will collaborate with the dietary team to follow guidelines, address resident dietary restrictions, and ensure accurate records of temperatures and portions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Able to follow standardized recipes and portion controls.
• Keeps accurate records and maintains kitchen organization.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Cook a variety of meals per planned menus and dietary needs.

• Resident Needs: Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences while meeting nutritional requirements.
• Inventory Management: Assist in stocking and rotating food supplies.
• Collaboration: Work with dietary staff to review menus and changes in dietary needs.
• Record Keeping: Document temperatures, portions, and dietary modifications.
• Training: Participate in ongoing food safety and culinary training.
