Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow recipes exactly as provided by the company.
• Must meet state sanitation requirements and follow health screening rules.
• Must communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and daily production worksheets to follow instructions.
• Prepare meals following community menus and recipes.
• Adhere to portion-control standards.
• Follow safe food-handling and storage procedures.
• Ensure food, supplies, and personnel are available for the planned meal.
• Serve nutritious meals that are attractively garnished and timely.
• Follow labeling, dating, and leftover logging procedures.
• Keep temperature logs updated (coolers, freezers, production sheets, dishwashing).
• Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning kitchens, prep areas, pots, and surfaces.
• Focus on resident satisfaction and address food-related concerns.
• Assist with setup for special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor; may cover other functions as needed.
