Holy Cross Head Start in Buffalo, NY seeks a Nutrition Services Coordinator to oversee the Nutrition Service area, ensuring compliant meal programs and quality nutrition education for children.

Responsibilities include creating monthly menus, overseeing food purchases and kitchen monitoring, coordinating assessments and referrals for nutrition services, supervising food service staff, and administering CACFP compliance to support a generous benefits package.

Competenze

• BS Degree in related nutrition/dietetic field with case management experience.
• 2 years’ work experience in institutional food service.
• Knowledge of CACFP.

Holy Cross Head Start is a comprehensive school readiness program, helping children and families succeed - from preschool through life. Holy Cross Head Start offers a pre-kindergarten school experience for 3 and 4 year old children, centered on literacy, math and social skills.

• Responsible for organization and implementation of the Nutrition Service area
• Creating monthly menus, food purchases and kitchen monitoring
• Coordinates and implements systems to ensure proper assessment and referrals for nutrition services
• Supervision and training of food service staff
• Administration, management and monitoring of Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

QUALIFICATIONS: BS Degree in related nutrition or dietetic field with case management experience. 2 years’ work experience in institutional food service and knowledge of accommodating special diets. Thorough working knowledge of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). English/Spanish helpful.

$45,000 - 12 month-full time position plus generous benefits package
