Job Summary

Provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and nursing staff for a variety of meal service needs by adhering to Food and Nutrition Service Standards. This includes explaining menu and meal options, providing basic diet instructions and modifications, giving advance notice of meal selections, and documenting alternate food preferences in a timely manner. Nutrition Attendants aim to exceed customer expectations and, when necessary, facilitate training of new employees and support ongoing education for department initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a high-volume, direct customer interaction role.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, hospital staff, colleagues, and management.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and operate a tablet (iPad).

Mandatory Education

High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate.
