A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Patient Safety Attendant to monitor and support patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. The role involves observing patient behavior, providing feedback, and assisting nursing staff as needed. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. Previous healthcare experience is preferred, along with CPR certification. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining patient safety and supporting overall care.
Patient Flow and Capacity
The patient safety attendant's role is to be present for the designated patient either visually or physically to observe patient behavior, communicate with and de-escalate the patient, and notify nursing personnel if the patient condition changes or requires assistance. The patient safety attendant serves as a resource to assist the PCT/MST and/or nursing staff with basic functions for the designated patient but does not substitute for the normal staff job scopes.
