Job summary

Bear Valley Community Healthcare District is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the Food and Nutrition Services department. You will clean dietary areas, wash dishes, set up trays by diet orders, and assist cooks.

Follow food safety protocols, read and follow dietary plans, and provide internal and external customer service. Maintain a current San Bernardino County Food Handler or Serv Safe certification and obtain a BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a current San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certification or Serv Safe Certification.
• Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Prior foodservice and/or customer service preferred.
• Skills: Able to understand English, both written and verbal; follow dietary directions.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and cooking duties as assigned.
• Maintains and stocks dietary areas and related supplies.
• Provides internal and external customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

Cleans dietary areas and washes dishes. Set up trays neatly and accurately according to various diet orders. Checks transport cart before delivering. Washes and cuts vegetables and fruits. Abides by food safety protocols. Aides Cooks

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) Required:

• High School Graduate or GED.

Ex perience Preferred:

• Prior experience in foodservice and/or customer service
