Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient meal selections using handheld technology and system applications, following scripting, allergy verification, and patient identification procedures.
• Assess patients for appropriate food selections and guide patients and families toward Nutrition Therapy orders, offering alternatives when needed.
• Verify diet orders and allergies to ensure meals match patients' clinical needs.
• Communicate patient food choices, intake, and meal concerns to the Clinical Nutrition Team and nursing staff for timely follow-up.
• Monitor meal service concerns and follow up with dietitians and leadership as needed.
