Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support daily meal service for patients and hospital guests. You will prepare and serve meals, assist with dietary guidelines, and work closely with the RD to ensure accurate patient trays and nutrition plans.

The role requires at least 1 year in a high-volume healthcare food service setting, Cerner proficiency, and the ability to obtain a Food Handler permit and ServeSafe within 30 days. Day or night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of healthcare food service in a high-volume environment.
• Proficient in Cerner and using department software to manage dietary guidelines.
• Consult with Registered Dietitian to assist in care plans for patients.
• Must have or be able to obtain AZ Food Handlers Permit and ServeSafe within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all menu items per standardized recipes and service standards.
• Support hospital in food service, nutrition, nourishments, and dishwashing as needed.
• Follow patient diet restrictions and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain safe working environment per health department standards and proper sanitation.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas compliant with regulations and cleanliness standards.
• Complete assigned tasks during shift while adhering to safety policies.
• Finish required training modules on time and participate in ongoing education.
