Job summary

Motivation, Education & Training, Inc. is seeking a dedicated kitchen aide to support meal preparation and CACFP compliance. You will follow daily menus and nutrition guidance, maintain sanitation, and keep accurate records.

The role includes equipment checks, receipts verification, and active participation in staff meetings. Travel within the project area may be extensive; a Texas driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience and specialized training in food service.
• Must pass criminal background check and is subject to drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following daily menus planned by the agency’s Nutrition Specialist, Health Services Coordinator, and Nutrition Consultant.
• Follow sanitation procedures; clean and maintain the kitchen area, equipment and utensils; dispose of garbage properly.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports related to CACFP.
• Report broken or missing equipment and needed supplies.
• Verify and sign all receipts and documentation when items are received.
• Wear a hairnet per MET plans and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
• Assist in agency transportation as a transportation aide when needed.
• Maintain good attendance and report to work on time.
• Perform duties safely, timely, and professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality of program records and participant data.
• Assist in meeting agency non-federal share matching requirements.
