Job summary

Seneca Resources seeks an experienced Nutanix & VMware Infrastructure Engineer to design, administer, migrate, and support enterprise virtualization, server, storage, and infrastructure environments.

The role focuses on Nutanix AHV and VMware vSphere-to-Nutanix AHV migrations, with hands-on responsibility for deploying Nutanix clusters and planning migration of enterprise workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of IT infrastructure or enterprise support.
• Hands-on Nutanix administration and engineering experience.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Nutanix clusters and AHV.
• Experience migrating VMware workloads to Nutanix AHV.
• Strong Windows and Linux administration experience.
• Experience with AD, backup, recovery, and related services.
• Strong troubleshooting across servers, hypervisors, storage, OS, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Nutanix clusters and AHV environments.
• Plan and execute vSphere-to-Nutanix AHV migrations with best practices.
• Assess VMware environments and develop migration plans addressing workloads and dependencies.
• Design and support both VMware vSphere and Nutanix environments.
• Troubleshoot hypervisor, VM, storage, networking, and performance issues.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of infrastructure.
• Provide after-hours/on-call support and scheduled maintenance.
