Job summary

Arctiq seeks an experienced Delivery Consultant to lead Nutanix migrations end-to-end for large VMware-to-Nutanix environments. You will oversee discovery, planning, Move execution, and post-migration validation across Windows and Linux guests.

The role requires deep virtualization expertise, Nutanix certification, and strong communication with application owners. This is a 6+ month contract open to candidates in the USA or Canada, with a focus on delivering compliant, documented, and operable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise virtualization experience including Nutanix AHV, Prism Element and Prism Central.
• Experience leading at least one VMware-to-Nutanix migration of 500+ VMs using Nutanix Move.
• Strong working knowledge of vSphere components and SAN-backed storage.
• Nutanix certification (NCP-MCI) or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and assessment of the vSphere estate, including VM inventory, dependencies, network/VLAN mapping, and storage profiles.
• Design migration wave plan with application dependencies, maintenance windows, rollback criteria, and success criteria.
• Deploy, configure, and operate Nutanix Move at scale with seeding, delta syncs, cutover scheduling, and throughput tuning.
• Identify and remediate non Move-eligible VMs and define alternative migration paths.
• Coordinate cutovers with application owners and perform post-migration validation and issue triage.
• Execute guest-level post-migration tasks (VirtIO, VMware Tools, IP/MAC retention) and re-validation.
• Produce runbooks, as-built docs, and knowledge transfer for operations teams.
• Report migration progress, risks, and issues to the project lead weekly.
