Job summary

Acument Global Technologies - North America is seeking a machine operator for a 3rd shift. The role involves operating and setting up manufacturing equipment with limited supervision to meet production requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities include inspection, data recording for SPC and ISO documentation, minor maintenance, and use of precision measuring tools. A High School diploma or GED is preferred, with at least one year of related experience.

  • Minimum one year experience in direct or related field, preferred, but not required.

  • Perform first piece inspection, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Record data for SPC, ISO/Quality System documentation.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance such as oil changes and tightening of bolts.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, gages, comparators, wrenches and other general tools and equipment.
  • Assist other operators as needed.
  • Move material by operating forklift or using non-motorized devices.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and policies.
  • Label portable containers.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Nut Tapper


This machine operator position requires the operation and/or set-up of manufacturing equipment with limited direction or supervision. The incumbent will possess and demonstrate the skills necessary to maintain production requirements and quality standards.


Essential Functions


  • Operate equipment and perform minor to moderate machine set-ups as required.

  • Perform first piece inspection, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.

  • Perform the duties required to record data for SPC, ISO/Quality System documentation.

  • Perform minor machine maintenance such as oil changes and tightening of bolts.

  • Perform work using micrometers, calipers, gages, comparators, wrenches and other general tools and equipment.

Skills & Abilities


  • Ability to use all gages and gauging techniques.

  • Knowledge in ISO/Quality System requirements.

  • Ability to operate equipment and perform minor machine set-ups.

  • Ability to meet production and quality standards.

  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all required operator documentation.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to identify routine problems and correct routine problems.

  • Use math skills for blue print reading, gauging and SPC.

  • Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements to perform basic and repetitive work assignments.

  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.


Problem Solving And Troubleshooting Skills And Experience.

Education

Experience Operating Manufacturing And Forklift Equipment Preferred

Physical Demands


  • Standing and walking required to perform machine setup and operation, material handling, and data recording.

  • Sitting may be required to perform some machine operation and data recording.

  • Gripping, handling fine finger movements are required for machine setup and operation, mechanical adjustments, gauging of parts, housekeeping, and control switch operation.

  • Reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are physical requirements associated with setting up and operating equipment.

  • Talking and hearing may be necessary to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors, as well as to hear alarms, pages, and machine noises.
