Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Peripheral IV certification is preferred.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience; one year in management preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics and subacute care is preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing personnel and day-to-day nursing activities during an assigned tour of duty.
• Monitor care delivery and staff performance per policies and procedures.
• Plan and conduct shift staff meetings to identify issues and improve services.
• Identify problems in care delivery and implement corrective actions.
• Report to the Director of Nursing and coordinate with other resident services.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with nursing policies.
• Participate in safety, infection control and quality improvement programs.
