Job summary

Terrace of Kissimmee in Kissimmee, FL seeks a Nurse Supervisor/Unit Manager to oversee day-to-day nursing activities, ensuring high-quality care in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations. You will supervise staff, participate in policy development, and coordinate with other residents services to sustain the care plan and discharge processes.

The role requires RN or LPN licensure, strong leadership, and experience supervising in a long-term care or hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree and active RN or LPN license in the state.
• Current AHCA Background Screening Status is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct nursing services across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty.
• Direct nursing service department in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
• Participate in developing and updating policies and procedures.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and followed.
• Lead committee work (QA, QA/QAPI) and report to Director.
• Oversee staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate care plans and discharge planning with care teams.
• Maintain quality assurance and resident safety standards.
