Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in South Florida is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to support our 4,000-strong team across units. You will interpret and enforce nursing policies, help review staffing needs with unit managers, and provide clinical supervision to charge nurses and staff to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of one year of nursing experience, with supervisory skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with current Florida licensure.
• Workplace Violence Program completion within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical supervision to others, evaluating care and directing day‑to‑day operations.
• Ensures House Supervisor coverage in emergencies and during ill health or vacation.
• Responds to Code Blue and other emergencies with professional calm and decisive action.
• Collaborates with Nursing Admin to set and achieve short/long term goals.
• Participates in organizational, community and national seminars for professional growth.
