Job summary

JL4 Staffing seeks an experienced Nursing Unit Manager to oversee clinical and operational activities, ensuring 24/7 patient care in line with organizational standards. The role includes leading quality improvement efforts and coordinating with the health-care team.

The position requires a BSN with RN licensure in Washington, DC, BLS certification, and at least 3 years of nursing leadership experience; a Master's in Nursing is a plus. On-site management is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and an RN license required; BSN preferred or to be pursued within two years.
• Washington Registered Nurse License (Vendor Managed) required at hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification required at hire.
• Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience in related clinical area.
• First-line management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall management and leadership of a nursing unit or group of units.
• Ensure patient care is provided 24 hours a day and aligned with standards.
• Coordinate patient care delivery with health-care team members.
• Develop, implement, and monitor unit-based quality improvement programs.
• Set and pursue unit-based goals for quality patient care.
• Coach, develop, evaluate and advocate for staff across shifts.
• Collaborate with clinical nurse specialists or educators on staff education.
