Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead a service unit, ensuring 24-hour operational performance and high-quality patient care. In collaboration with the Director and Nurse Educator, you will manage staffing, budget planning, and staff education to optimize clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

The role requires a BSN, VA RN license, and 5+ years of nursing experience with at least 2 years in management.

Qualifikationen

• BSN from an accredited school is required.
• MSN in Nursing is preferred.
• Valid Virginia RN license or reciprocal is required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• NIHSS training within 90 days.
• Nursing Leadership Certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years management experience.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication and computerized systems.
• Experience with electronic systems and programs.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Collaborates with physicians, staff and Mary Washington Healthcare Associates.
• Demonstrates professional and positive behavior and aligns with Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.
• Regulatory knowledge includes JCAHO, EMTALA, and Virginia State Health Department.

Aufgaben

• Collaborates to develop staffing schedules and approves final department schedule.
• Assists in budgeting and education/orientation planning for staff.
• Uses performance improvement processes to identify and implement improvements.
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and ancillary departments; maintains records of communications.
• Schedules off-hour shifts and participates in staff meetings and conflict resolution.
• Acts as a resource to physicians and staff, ensures equipment and supplies availability.
• Drives action plans from departmental results and ensures quality outcomes.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements and disseminates updates to staff.
• Supports recruitment, orientation, and performance reviews with HR partners.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
