Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and RN licensure in Maryland.
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience and 3 years of management experience; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Sets priorities for data collection for performance improvement programs and justifies variances.
• Functions as an expert in patient care management in the clinical area.
• Facilitates and participates in teams to plan, communicate, implement, and evaluate care delivery systems.
• Ensures effective ongoing communications at inter- and intra-departmental levels.
• Develops annual staff development goals and conducts staff appraisals; manages competency targets and staffing policies.
• Accountable for 24/7 coverage of the unit.
• Accountable for budget, payroll, and productivity of unit staffing.
