Job summary

Women & Infants Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager to assume 24-hour accountability for operational, clinical, quality, financial, and people outcomes across one or more units. You will link organizational strategy to frontline care and foster safety, compassion, and continuous improvement.

You will lead interdisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional patient outcomes, engage the workforce, and ensure regulatory compliance while promoting a healthy work environment and equity in care delivery.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Master’s degree strongly preferred in related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive clinical nursing experience.
• 2 years of leadership or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Current RN license in Rhode Island.
• Specialty certification within two years of hire.
• Nurse Executive Certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes, workforce engagement, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a healthy work environment and promote staff well-being and equity.
• Serve as a transformational leader and advocate for patients and families.
• Oversee budget, staffing, and resource utilization.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive performance improvement.
• Promote shared governance and evidence-based practice.
