OVHC Ohio Valley Health Corporation in Parkersburg, WV, invites applications for a Nurse Manager position. This role leads nursing care for assigned patient groups, coordinates resources, and reports to the Director to ensure alignment with standards.

BSN preferred; active RN license; BLS within 30 days; four years of nursing with two in management; strong leadership, budgeting and staff development skills required. This is a 40-hour exempt on-site role.

Qualifications

• Current RN license issued by the state where services will be provided.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire/date of employment.
• BSN preferred; specialty certification desirable.

Responsabilités

• Advises the Director on hiring, retention, interviewing and recruitment of staff.
• Initiates and maintains appropriate personnel records.
• Develops and implements ongoing educational programs for staff.
• Provides ongoing feedback to employees concerning job performance and development.
• Monitors personnel and budget variances for the cost center.
• Assures economical utilization of time, materials and resources.
• Communicates effectively with physicians, nurses, and other personnel.
• Promotes customer satisfaction and establishes a responsive unit culture.
• Serves as a resource to quality improvement teams.
• Participates in staff meetings and trainings to disseminate information.
• Oversees orientation and continuing education of staff.
• Plans and evaluates delivery of nursing care per standards of practice.
• Participates in community outreach to educate and promote relationships.
