Job summary

Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Nursing Unit Manager to oversee the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit and lead a team of nurses and nursing assistants. The role is ideal for an experienced RN or LPN with skilled nursing experience ready to step into leadership.

You will supervise staff, ensure high-quality resident care per care plans, document care, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. MA license required.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required.
• Supervisory, charge nurse, or unit management experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit.
• Supervise, support, and provide direction to nurses and nursing assistants.
• Ensure residents receive high-quality care in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Monitor residents' conditions and communicate changes to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Participate in resident assessments and care plan meetings.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, performance management, and ongoing education.
• Support infection control, quality assurance, and risk management initiatives.
• Help prepare the unit and staff for state and federal surveys and regulatory inspections.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and resident-focused environment.

Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Manager to oversee the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit and lead a team of nurses and nursing assistants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN or LPN with skilled nursing experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership or unit management role.
