HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL seeks an Assistant Manager-Nursing to support department leadership in Women and Infants. You will supervise and mentor staff, help hire and onboard, and develop workflows to improve patient care while ensuring compliance with protocols.

The role requires RN licensure, 2 years RN in acute care, and 2 years in charge/lead roles; BSN preferred. Night shifts with 12-hour and 8-hour admin days. Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program for licensure in the state of practice.
• BSN degree preferred for this leadership role.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in an acute setting.
• Minimum 2 years in charge/lead nurse or related role.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee unit/department operations and patient care activities.
• Assist in hiring, transferring and performance improvement processes.
• Develop workflows and prepare operational reports for leadership.
• Supervise unit staff and ensure adherence to care protocols.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure excellence in patient care.
