HSHS Medical Group is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the CVICU in Springfield, IL. The role involves leading nursing teams, shaping workflows, and collaborating with physicians and staff to maintain exceptional patient care standards.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years as an RN in acute care, with charge nurse or lead nurse experience preferred, and an active RN license. BLS is required, ACLS may be needed depending on unit requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and licensed RN in the practice state.
• BSN degree preferred for this leadership role.
• Minimum 2 years RN staff nurse experience in an acute setting; 2 years in charge/lead role preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of unit and department functions including patient care, staffing, performance improvement, and workflow.
• Develop and administer department/unit protocols and operat—testing and reporting.
• Provide direct supervision of unit staff and act as a nurse leader.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care.
