Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association (90 days) required within 90 days.
• BLS certification through American Red Cross (90 days) required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Collects and reports patients' physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs to the RN or Provider and ensures documentation is accurate and timely.
• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the RN or Provider and supports an individualized care plan with proper documentation.
• Articulates the nursing technician role to patients, families, and health team members and supports safe, cost-effective patient care.
• Cleans patient environments, work areas, and equipment, reporting malfunctions to appropriate staff.
• Upholds privacy and confidentiality and advocates for ethical handling of patient, staff, and organizational data.
