Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Nursing Support Technician to assist with patient care in inpatient units under supervision of nurses and physicians. The NST provides personal care, supports activities of daily living, and helps with tasks as delegated.

Qualified applicants have a High School Diploma or GED, BLS, Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification, and completion of a PCT program or nursing fundamentals course.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program.
• Completion of a Basic Nursing Fundamentals Course as evidence on transcript.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive personal care.
• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Provide patient advocacy, teaching, and support under supervision.
• Perform basic and advanced skills as competency validated.
