Avardis Health in Ashland, VA is seeking a qualified Nursing Supervisor (RN or LPN) to lead our resident care team. You will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee daily nursing operations to maintain high-quality care.

The role requires a current RN or LPN license in the state, minimum 3 years of nursing experience (1 year in administration), strong leadership, and weekend availability. Full-time shifts 3-11 or 11-7, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting).
• At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
• Compassionate and dedicated to providing superior resident care.
• Ability to work weekends with flexibility and adaptability.
• Completion of Preceptor Training (or willingness to complete upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Lead & Supervise Nursing Staff - Manage daily staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage and quality resident care.
• Staff Development & Training - Assist in ongoing education, ensuring all staff are equipped to provide exceptional care.
• Direct Resident Care - Provide hands-on nursing care, ensuring residents' medical needs are met in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Resident Assessments - Conduct and document comprehensive evaluations upon admission and throughout their stay.
• Treatment Planning & Compliance - Assist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans while ensuring adherence to resident rights and facility policies.
• Recruit & Retain Nursing Talent - Play a key role in the hiring and retention of skilled nursing professionals.
• Conflict Resolution & Advocacy - Address concerns from residents and families, ensuring grievances are handled professionally and effectively.
• Drive Continuous Improvement - Implement new ideas, enhance processes, and support a positive, results-driven management team.
