Job summary

Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a qualified Nursing Supervisor RN to join our leadership team on-site in Ashland. You will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee high-quality resident care across shifts.

The role requires strong clinical and administrative skills, with responsibilities spanning daily staffing, care planning, assessments, and continuous process improvement. Weekend availability and Preceptor Training completion are valued.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing).
• At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to complete Preceptor Training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage and quality resident care.
• Assist in staff development and ongoing education to maintain high standards.
• Direct resident care with adherence to individualized care plans.
• Conduct and document resident assessments at admission and during stay.
• Develop and implement treatment plans while ensuring compliance with policies and resident rights.
• Recruit and retain skilled nursing staff; participate in hiring.
• Address resident/family concerns and resolve conflicts professionally.

Major Responsibilities:

• Lead & Supervise Nursing Staff - Manage daily staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage and quality resident care.
• Staff Development & Training - Assist in ongoing education, ensuring all staff are equipped to provide exceptional care.
• Direct Resident Care - Provide hands-on nursing care, ensuring residents' medical needs are met in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Resident Assessments - Conduct and document comprehensive evaluations upon admission and throughout their stay.
• Treatment Planning & Compliance - Assist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans while ensuring adherence to resident rights and facility policies.
• Recruit & Retain Nursing Talent - Play a key role in the hiring and retention of skilled nursing professionals.
• Conflict Resolution & Advocacy - Address concerns from residents and families, ensuring grievances are handled professionally and effectively.
• Drive Continuous Improvement - Implement new ideas, enhance processes, and support a positive, results-driven management team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting).
• At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
• Compassionate and dedicated to providing superior resident care.
• Ability to work weekends with flexibility and adaptability.
• Completion of Preceptor Training (or willingness to complete upon hire).
