Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Tucson is seeking a Nursing Supervisor - Registered Nurse (RN) to lead assigned nursing staff, oversee patient care, and ensure adherence to hospital standards. The role focuses on delivering compassionate rehabilitation services and coordinating care plans under the Chief Nursing Officer's guidance.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications, and has experience in supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License required.
• BLS required at hire.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire/promotion.

Responsibilities

• Direct assigned nursing personnel as a resource and consultant.
• Provide and oversee nursing care per hospital philosophy and objectives.
• Maintain approved standards of patient care; ensure continuity of care under CNO guidance.
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.

You will direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant. Provide and oversee nursing care, implement hospital and departmental philosophy and objectives. Maintain approved standards of patient care, collaborate with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer.

• Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS is required at hire.
• Certified ACLS required within first 6 months of hire/promotion into Nursing Supervisor position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• One or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• CRRN preferred
