Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a Supervisor: Nursing (Primary Care I) at Cooper Green to lead daily clinical operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliant ambulatory care delivery. You will oversee on-call duties, drive clinic flow improvements, and partner with ambulatory leaders to meet QA standards.

Minimum RN with 2 years supervisory experience; Alabama RN license and CPR/BLS are required. ACLS preferred; BSN preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Two years of related experience required; work experience may not substitute.
• A current Alabama RN license is required.
• CPR/BLS certification via AHA or ARC is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as designated on-call nursing supervisor with clinical, operational, and admin leadership during on-call periods.
• Evaluate and improve clinic flow; oversee day-to-day clinic operations of designated clinics.
• Collaborate with and provide admin support to Ambulatory Services leadership.
• Create, evaluate, and supervise role-specific duties for clinic staff.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and report QA data and audits.
