Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee patient flow and coordinate clinical operations. The role collaborates with nursing divisions and the ED to plan admissions and discharges, ensuring appropriate staffing and rapid response to urgent needs.

The successful candidate will lead the daily safety huddle, provide leadership in the absence of senior management, and ensure compliance with care standards and regulatory requirements while supporting staff

Responsibilities

• Manages patient flow and routine clinical operations with required resources.
• Leads in the absence of Administration after hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Leads daily safety huddle and collaborates with the ED during overcrowding intervals.
• Makes staffing decisions including movement of staff as needed to maintain coverage.
• Assures adequate staffing, monitors sitter and restraint use, and enforces safety protocols.
• Provides admin, operational and clinical support across patient care areas and promotes continuous improvement.
