Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking a Nursing Admin Supervisor to lead floor staff, oversee huddles, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and AIDET practices, while addressing issues through Nurse Directors. The role requires nursing leadership experience and collaboration with administration to maintain service excellence.

Responsibilities include staffing coordination, nursing rounds, promoting teamwork, and ensuring policy interpretation and staff support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved Nursing School.
• 2 years experience as Charge Nurse/Manager.
• RN, CPR, ACLS, PALS.
• Basic computer knowledge, medical equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Staffing Coordinator to appropriately staff units.
• Manages stressful situations effectively and professionally.
• Delegates appropriately and efficiently as needs are communicated from staff members.
• Conducts Nursing rounds every 2 hours on all nursing units or as needed.
• Maximizes patient flow by active involvement/supervision of ER and or activities and admission and discharge opportunities.
• appropriately communicates and collaborates with the Administrator on call.
• Interprets policies and procedures, serving as a resource for staff members.
• Promotes teamwork.
