Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is seeking a part-time nursing administrator to promote safe, high-quality patient care across the organization on the day shift. You will plan and coordinate with Admissions and Bed Control to optimize patient flow and supervise staff on a shift-to-shift basis.

You will serve as the on-site hospital administrator after hours and handle administrator-on-call requests while ensuring disaster-plan readiness and clear staff communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Demonstrated clinical competency is required.
• RN Georgia licensure and/or NLC/eNCL multistate licensure is required.
• BCLS – Basic Life Support is required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promoting and maintaining quality patient care across the organization on the assigned shift.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow and provide optimum service to Piedmont customers.
• Monitor bed availability and implement surge capacity measures as needed.
• Supervise the nursing staff and coordinate staffing on a shift-to-shift basis.
• Act as the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours.
• Assess requests for administrator-on-call contact during the shift.
• Oversee all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration/department directors.
• Work with the on-call Administrator to activate the disaster plan and coordinate related activities.
• Rounds and maintain open communication with all staff; demonstrate sound nursing knowledge and leadership.
