Job summary

The role requires a nursing program graduate with at least 3 years’ hospital experience, Georgia RN licensure, and BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred for this leadership position.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
• RN license for Georgia required; NLC/eNCL multistate licensure required.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain quality patient care on the assigned shift.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow.
• Monitor bed availability and implement surge capacity measures as needed.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate staffing on a shift-to-shift basis.
• Serve as the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours.
• Assess requests for administrator-on-call contact and coordinate disaster plan activation.
• Maintain open communication with all staff.
