Job summary

EASTERN HEALTH GROUP is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (LPN/RN) to oversee clinical and administrative nursing staff on assigned shifts in a long-term care setting, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

You will lead, mentor, and coordinate resident care plans with RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, handling documentation, emergencies, and interdepartmental collaboration to support resident dignity and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN/LPN license in Virginia.
• Associate’s or BSN nursing degree.
• Minimum 2–3 years of nursing in long-term care or geriatric setting.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations, infection control, and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff during assigned shifts to ensure quality, safety, and resident dignity.
• Coordinate and supervise implementation of resident care plans.
• Conduct rounds and address resident conditions promptly.
• Provide guidance and clinical support; participate in evaluations and development.
• Ensure accurate documentation and smooth shift hand-offs; communicate between teams.
