Job summary

Kindred Hospital St. Louis South, part of ScionHealth, is seeking an experienced nurse leader to supervise nursing staff on a 38-bed long-term acute care unit. You will assess patient needs, plan staffing, and ensure high-quality care for an extended recovery period.

You will develop training programs, guide unit staff, maintain health records, and collaborate with physicians to implement protocols. The role requires an RN license, BLS, and 2+ years in hospital nursing with supervisory

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Two years of hospital nursing experience.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services.
• Participates in developing nursing protocol and procedures.
• Provides continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
• Assesses patient needs; participates in providing nursing care; ensures services are carried out and documented.
• Maintains patient health care records.
• Maintains supply inventory records; orders supplies and equipment as necessary.
