Kindred Hospital St. Louis South is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead the nursing staff on our 38-bed unit. You will assess patient needs, plan care, and ensure high-quality, compassionate service.

You will organize training for unit staff, participate in guidance and educational programs, and help implement nursing protocols. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in this role. This is a long-term acute care setting with 24/7 clinical care.

Kindred Hospital St. Louis South is a 38-bed long-term acute care hospital, offering the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period; which includes a four-bed high observation unit for patients who need extra attention. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care 7 days a week so you can start your journey to wellness anytime. Located near I-270/Tesson Ferry Rd, we are a short drive from nearby shops and restaurants.

Job Summary

Supervises nursing staff, assesses patients needs and provides nursing care for patients. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs.

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services.
• Participates in developing nursing protocol and procedures.
• Provides continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
• Assesses patient needs; participates in providing nursing care; ensures services are carried out and documented appropriately
• Maintains patient health care records.
• Maintains supply inventory records; orders supplies and equipment, as necessary.

Qualifications

Education

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Valid BLS certification

Experience

• Two years of nursing experience in a hospital.
• 1 to 2 years supervisory/leadership experience
