Job summary

Kids for the Future in Neligh, NE seeks a Nursing Supervisor to provide direct guidance and supervision of the nursing staff during assigned shifts. The role focuses on maintaining quality patient care and coordinating clinical services with the Director of Nursing.

You will monitor staffing, support front-line staff, manage after-hours operations, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with providers to ensure CMS and payer requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license in the State of Nebraska.
• Three to five years prior experience in clinical nursing preferred.
• Experience as a nursing supervisor in a clinical nursing setting preferred.
• Must possess current BLS at time of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC certification required within first year.

Responsibilities

• Monitor staffing levels, adjust as needed; maintain department productivity.
• Assist with direct patient care as needed and cover for breaks.
• Manage operations after hours when DON/CEO unavailable; contact administration for emergencies.
• Lead in emergencies; act as incident command until relieved.
• Liaise with patients, visitors, physicians, and outside agencies.
• Coordinate data collection and collaborate with providers.
• Mentor, teach, and coach front line staff.
