Job summary

Nantucket Cottage Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to oversee patient care across units and manage patient flow on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This role provides administrative, operational, and clinical leadership, serving as the clinical resource and patient care representative.

The position requires ASDN or equivalent with RN licensure in Massachusetts, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 5–7 years of clinical nursing plus 2–3 years of lead nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care using the nursing process and provide direction for the nursing team.
• Conduct rounds of all patient care areas and set expectations for reporting, especially for high-acuity patients.
• Serve as off-shift patient care representative, listen to concerns, document issues, and investigate when required.
• Collaborate with medical staff, ancillary support, and clinical services to coordinate patient care and environmental needs.
• Notify Administrator-On-Call of serious issues, incidents, or disasters.
