Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead hospital functions during a designated shift, directing staff and coordinating with physicians and other departments.

Requires RN license in SC or compact state, Bachelor of Nursing degree, at least 1 year of acute care RN experience; BLS and ACLS current; Master’s preferred. This role reports to Nursing Administration and offers 36 scheduled hours per week with hourly pay. MUSC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Acute Care.
• Bachelor of Nursing degree required.
• RN license in SC or a compact state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong leadership and staffing management skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage hospital functions on a designated shift.
• Lead with administration while coordinating with nursing staff, physicians, and other departments.
• Ensure continuity of professional nursing care and inform the on-call administrator of issues.
• Staffing to provide continuity of professional nursing care.
