Job summary

Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a Nursing Supervisor / Hospital Operations Coordinator (RN) to lead clinical and administrative functions across shifts. The role provides real-time operational oversight, clinical support, and staff mentorship to safeguard high-quality care for adults and geriatrics.

Required ADN with BSN preferred, 3-5+ years nursing leadership, Maryland RN license, and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of nursing leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or equivalent).
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active Maryland RN license with ACLS and BLS/CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing rounding, clinical monitoring, and resource support across all units.
• Perform rapid clinical assessments and triage patient concerns.
• Escalate deteriorating patients and respond to RRT/Code Blue events.
• Maintain ACLS certification and support staff education.
• Mentor clinical teams in best practices and competency development.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical evaluations.
• Partner with units to ensure safe, effective care delivery and handoffs.

Nursing Supervisor / Hospital Operations Coordinator (RN)

Position Summary

The Nursing Supervisor / Hospital Operations Coordinator (RN) is a dynamic hospital operations and clinical leadership role responsible for overseeing facility-wide administrative, clinical, and staff functions during assigned shifts. This role provides real-time operational oversight, clinical support, and rapid response across all hospital and long-term care units, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care for adult and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Emergency Response

• Conduct ongoing rounding, clinical monitoring, and resource support across all units
• Perform rapid clinical assessments and triage emerging patient concerns
• Recognize subtle or early signs of patient deterioration and initiate appropriate escalation
• Respond to all Rapid Response (RRT) and Code Blue events
• Maintain active ACLS certification and support ongoing staff education
• Guide, educate, and mentor clinical teams in best practices and competency development
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical evaluations

Care Coordination & Clinical Collaboration

• Partner with unit teams to ensure safe, effective, and timely care delivery
• Support implementation and documentation of individualized care plans
• Assist nursing staff with 24-hour patient reporting and clinical handoff accuracy
• Identify patient needs, barriers to care, and staff development opportunities

Leadership & Shift Management

• Serve as the on-site clinical and administrative leader for the entire facility during assigned shifts
• Uphold hospital mission, policies, and professional nursing standards
• Document shift activity, incidents, interventions, and staffing concerns accurately
• Ensure completion of supervisor shift reports and event documentation
• Provide timely communication and follow-up on emergent and operational matters
• Model professional accountability, sound judgment, and decisive leadership

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) - Required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred

Experience

• 3-5+ years of nursing leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or equivalent)

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS/CPR (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification - Required

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
• Every weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
• One additional weekday night shift

Pay Range: $43.33 to $67.16 Based On Experience
