Job summary

Northwood Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead a team of RNs and LPNs delivering psychiatric crisis stabilization services.

You will collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, and mental health technicians to oversee detoxification, medical evaluations, medication management, and other behavioral health services. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid nursing license in the State of West Virginia.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health, crisis stabilization, or substance use treatment preferred.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet operational needs including on-call and rotating weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing documentation is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure documentation accurately reflects each patient's clinical condition and medical needs.
• Verify that physician and other licensed practitioner orders are accurately documented and appropriately implemented.
• Administer and oversee the safe administration of medications.
• Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Develop and maintain nursing schedules and daily staff assignments to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Promote a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on quality care and safety.
