UF Health is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee bed requests and patient flow across the continuum of care. You will collaborate with medical directors, attendings, nurses, and support services to ensure timely, cost-effective bed placement and throughput.

The role requires leadership, critical thinking, and strong communication, with responsibility for staffing considerations and 24/7 decision making. Clinical leadership and adherence to policies are essential.

Formación

• Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing; BSN or higher.
• Preferred Education: MS in Nursing or related field.
• Necessary Skills: Leadership and management ability.
• Necessary Skills: Critical thinking and independent decision making.
• Knowledge of JCAHO / AHCA standards and the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates competent conflict resolution and negotiation techniques.
• Licensure/Certifications: Florida nursing license; BLS required for all areas.
• Licensure/Certifications: ACLS required for ICU, ED, and Specialty areas.
• Certification: Professional certification within two years of hire or transfer.

Responsabilidades

• Manage bed requests and maintain primary responsibility for patient progression through the continuum of care.
• Facilitate efficient and cost-effective placement of patients into appropriate beds.
• Work with medical directors, attendings, nurses and ancillary support services.
• Monitor unit staffing and adjust inpatient bed assignments and staffing 24/7.
• Provide administrative oversight for patient, physician and nursing concerns.
