Job summary

Summa Health in Barberton seeks a Nursing Student Technician (NST) for PRN night shifts to support the patient care team under an RN. You will perform direct patient care and essential clerical tasks while completing Summa's orientation and maintaining BLS-HCP certification.

The role requires active nursing program enrollment, first clinical rotation completion, and the ability to work well within a team. Physical demands include standing, lifting, and mobility to support patient needs.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed the first clinical rotation.
• Must complete Summa's orientation and maintain a current BLS-HCP on hire.
• Ability to read and write English, follow written and oral instructions, and perform basic math.
• Ability to work well in a team and support patient care goals.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift/move patients and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supports the patient care team by performing multifunctional activities, under RN direction.
• Provides direct patient care and administrative/clerical support as needed.
• Collaborates with patient care team to improve efficiency and care quality.
