Job summary

You will review staffing reports, collaborate with charge RNs, and help orient nursing managers and staff to staffing practices. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference for inpatient care experience and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer prior inpatient care unit experience in a patient care or support role.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Receives staffing requests and allocates available resources within the Department of Nursing on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Analyzes staffing patterns and collaborates with charge RNs to meet staffing needs.
• Assists in orienting nurse managers, nursing supervisors, and RN staff to staffing practices and procedures.
