Mayo Clinic is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to support patient care units by staffing requests and allocating resources within the Department of Nursing on a shift-by-shift basis.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus effective verbal and written communication skills and proficient computer abilities. This is a nonexempt, full-time position with 0.9 FTE and rotating Day/Evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer prior inpatient care unit experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient care units by receiving staffing requests and allocating resources on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Analyzes staffing patterns to balance needs and determine staffing actions.
• Communicates with staff to grant absences, placement, and availability.
• Orients nurse managers and RN staff to staffing practices and guidelines.
