Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED is required.
• Prefer experience in inpatient care unit in a patient care or support role.

Responsibilities

• Receive staffing requests and allocate available resources within the Department of Nursing on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Review staffing recommendation reports and coordinate with charge RNs to meet staffing needs.
• Analyze staffing patterns and trends to balance needs and determine when to hire or grant excused absences.
• Assist in orienting nurse managers, nursing supervisors, and RN staff to staffing practices.
